Antonia Lofaso
Antonia Lofaso's cuisine is an invitation to explore the possibilities within her. She developed a curiousity about food and cooking after moving from suburban Long Island to the diverse cultural landscape that is Los Angeles. Cavatelli and Carnitas can be found to blend seamlessly with the food menu. This is an idea that has developed in the course of time. The only thing that remains is her unique vision of the future while longingly recalling the previous. Scopa Italian Roots was opened in 2013 by Lofaso and is influenced by her Italian American roots. The restaurant was greeted with a warm welcome. Lofaso's traditional Italian version is regarded as one among Los Angeles' most captivating restaurants. Patrons have described Scopa as an essential neighborhood staple where Lofaso consistently provides food that is delicious and unquestionably satisfying. Lofaso studied under some of famous chefs and mastered their techniques, but was never scared to challenge her instincts. She swiftly rose up the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago before moving further to collaborate with famous chefs in a variety of Los Angeles kitchens. Lofaso launched Black Market Liquor Bar with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi in Studio City, California. The bar was eventually able to get an outlet in Black Market as well as the partnerships she established. Lofaso was able to enjoy the freedom to be creative that she wanted through the collaboration. Black Market does not have any one specific direction, that's the intention. It would start with potato chips flavored with dill Shishito peppers, then finish with Korean Wings. Antonia is the linchpin of this dizzying variety. The success of Lofaso has been judged by her capacity to stay authentic to her own taste while knowing her viewers. Her memorable performances on Top Chef Chicago & Top Chef: All Stars highlighted her unique personality in the kitchen. The talents of Lofaso are apparent in her regular roles as the CNBC's Restaurant Startup judge, and on The Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child as well as the ABC's Real O'neals. Lofaso published The Busy Mom's Cookbook: 100 Quick and Delicious recipes in 2012, along with Penguin. The book also tells the story of how she faced challenges during her time in The French Culinary Institute. She also raised her daughter Xea and her son Xea. Lofaso says that the passion behind all of her accomplishments comes from the heart of the kitchen and it is in this way that she keeps her to keep her finger on the pulse. With the Chefletics brand, she's changing the look of her industry by re-designing clothing for chefs that is stylish and also serves a practicality. Lofaso believes that staying true your vision is important. To accomplish this goal, she created Antonia Lofaso Catering. It gives customers the opportunity to experience an unrivalled service.
