Aunjanue E. Taylor Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American actor-producer and stage actress is well-known for her role in the movie Ray Undercover Brother as well as on The Mentalist. She graduated with a B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue is an American actor as well as a producer and director. She works in television and film. Her career began as a theater actress and then appeared in a number of television series and independent and mainstream movies. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on the epic BET series The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with critical acclaim but also a number of nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. Her debut on stage as Ariel as Ariel as Ariel, The Tempest. On Broadway she's appeared in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. In her film career, she is most well-known for her roles in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Her part as a regular on ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
